31 Days of Halloween Day 8.......

🎃 31 Days of Halloween — Day 8:
 From Sketch to Spooky!

Welcome back to Mommy Stampin’ Creations for Day 8 of my 31 Days of Halloween! Today’s card shows how a card sketch can become a fun Halloween creation with patterned paper, bold black accents, and a spooky little spider.

Inspired by Weekly Card Sketch #001

I used Weekly Card Sketch #001 as the template for today’s card. The sketch features overlapping vertical panels and a sentiment across the front—a great starting point for mixing coordinating papers!

For my Halloween version, I used two orange patterns from Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper, including a striped panel down the center. Basic Black accents give the layout contrast, while the Basic White background lets those bright patterns stand out.

One of my favorite things about using a sketch is making it my own. I replaced the sketch’s flower accent with a black spider created using the Webs of Fun Dies, placing it beside the greeting for a Halloween twist!

Card Measurements :
Card Base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score @ 4 1/4
#2 Panel: 1 1/2 x 5 1/4
#3 Panel: 1 1/4 x 5 1/2
#4 Panel: 1 1/4 x 3 1/4
#5 Sentiment Label: 3 x 1 1/2

A Frightfully Fun Finish

The “Happy Halloween” sentiment from the Oh My Fright Stamp Set stretches across the layered panels. A few dots from the Adhesive-Backed Bats, Ghosts & Dots finish the card without distracting from the patterned paper.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used

  • Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper — #168168

  • Oh My Fright Stamp Set — #168169

  • Webs of Fun Dies — #168210

  • Basic Black Cardstock — #121045

  • Basic White Cardstock — #166780

  • Adhesive-Backed Bats, Ghosts & Dots — #168180

Give This Sketch a Try!

Choose your favorite coordinating papers, layer your panels, and add a greeting across the front. Swap the flower for a spider, ghost, pumpkin, or another seasonal accent to make the sketch your own.

What theme would you try with Weekly Card Sketch #001? I’d love to hear your ideas in the comments!

31 Days of Halloween Day 5, 6 & 7.......

31 Days of Halloween — Days 5, 6 & 7: Sweet N Spooky Card Fun!

Hello, Crafty friends!
🎃👻🏚️🎃👻🏚️🎃👻🏚️

Welcome back to my 31 Days of Halloween here at Mommy Stampin’ Creations! Today I’m sharing three handmade cards for Days 5, 6 and 7—a little pumpkin fun, a haunted house, and some friendly ghostly greetings!

Each finished card measures 7 × 5 inches and combines Stampin’ Up! products with Catherine Pooler’s Sweet N Spooky 6 × 6 Patterned Paper. I love how these playful patterns give each card its own personality while bringing the whole collection together.

Day 5 — Pumpkin Fun

The first card is full of smiling jack-o’-lanterns! The orange and white pumpkins pop against the purple patterned background, while the black border helps frame the design.

An orange layered frame draws your eye to the center, where a little pumpkin and the “October 31st” greeting add a cheerful Halloween touch. A spiderweb accent finishes off this sweet and spooky card!

Day 6 — Haunted House

For Day 6, I went with a haunted-house theme! The black background is filled with Halloween words, making a fun backdrop for the orange house.

The gray notebook-style layer helps the house stand out, and the “Haunted House” greeting ties the design together. A few little accents add just the right finishing touch. I love the contrast of orange, gray and black on this card!

Day 7 — Ghostly Greetings

Day 7 brings a friendly little ghost to the party! The colorful patterned paper has playful Halloween images in purple, orange and green.

A purple layered frame and angled paper pieces create a fun focal point for the “Ghostly Greetings” greeting. The green panel really catches the eye, and the little purple embellishment adds a bit of sparkle!

Three Cards, One Fun Paper Collection
🎃👻🏚️🎃👻🏚️🎃👻🏚️

These cards are a reminder that one patterned-paper collection can inspire several different looks. Try choosing a color from your paper, adding a contrasting layer, and finishing with a Halloween greeting.

The larger 7 × 5-inch card size gives these patterns and layered details plenty of room to shine!

Which one is your favorite—the pumpkins, the haunted house, or the friendly ghost? Leave me a comment below. I’d love to hear which card makes you smile!

31 Days of Halloween Day 4.........

31 Days of Halloween — Day 4: Trick or Treat
Hi Friend!

👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻.........

Welcome back to Mommy Stampin’ Creations for Day 4 of my 31 Days of Halloween!

Today I’m sharing two 7 × 5-inch Halloween cards made with Stampin’ Up! products and Catherine Pooler’s Sweet N Spooky 6 × 6 Patterned Paper. I love mixing supplies from my craft collection to create something fun!

For these cards, I used Petunia Pop Cardstock, a retired Stampin’ Up! color. Its bright purple shade looks so pretty with the orange, pink, and purple plaid paper. Basic White panels give the greetings and Halloween details a place to stand out.

The Extraordinary Life Bundle adds playful details, including the notebook-style edges and little banner accents. Those layers give both cards a cheerful papercraft feel!

Two Cards, Two Fun Greetings

My “Trick or Treat” card features a smiling pumpkin filled with Halloween sweets. The plaid paper, little banners, and colorful embellishments make this a sweet Halloween greeting.

My “Hi Friend” card pairs a bold greeting with a colorful spider web. I placed the greeting panel at an angle for a playful finishing touch. It’s a fun way to send a little Halloween hello to a friend!

Supplies Used

  • Stampin’ Up! Extraordinary Life Bundle — #167719

  • Stampin’ Up! Petunia Pop Cardstock — retired

  • Stampin’ Up! Basic White Cardstock — #166780

  • Catherine Pooler Sweet N Spooky 6 × 6 Patterned Paper

  • Finished card size: 7 × 5 inches

Try It With Your Paper Collection!

Choose a colorful Halloween patterned paper, then pull a coordinating cardstock color from the design. Layer on a white panel, add a greeting, and finish with a few small accents. You can use the same papers for both cards while changing the arrangement to give each one its own personality!

Which card would you send—the pumpkin “Trick or Treat” card or the “Hi Friend” spiderweb card? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for joining me for Day 4! Come back tomorrow for Day 5 of my 31 Days of Halloween. Tomorrow also kicks off Card Sketch Monday with Weekly Card Sketch #001, so there’s more creative fun ahead!

31 Days of Halloween Day 3......

31 Days of Halloween — Day 3: A Little BOO!
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻.........

Welcome back to Mommy Stampin’ Creations for Day 3 of my 31 Days of Halloween!

Today’s card brings together friendly ghosts, a spooky tree, and a bat flying across a Lemon Lolly moon. I used the Oh My Fright Stamp Set and coordinating Oh My Fright Dies with the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper to create this fun Halloween scene.

I love how the orange ghost print and striped paper stand out against the Basic Black card base. The overlapping strips of patterned paper make a playful background, while the black tree adds a spooky touch. A little white ghost and an orange banner with a bold “BOO” finish the card!

Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Lemon Lolly, and Basic White make such a cheerful Halloween combination. That yellow moon is one of my favorite details—it gives the bat a perfect place to shine!

**A Sneak Peek at Weekly Card Sketch #001!

Today’s Halloween card also gives you a sneak peek at Weekly Card Sketch #001, the first sketch in my upcoming Card Sketch Monday series, starting Monday, October 5, 2026!

I used the sketch’s overlapping vertical layers as inspiration, then added ghosts, a spooky tree, a moon, and a “BOO” banner to give it a Halloween twist.

That’s the fun of a card sketch—you can follow the layout and make it your own with your favorite papers, stamps, and dies!

I’m sharing the sketch below so you can try it, too. It includes measurements, directions, design notes, and tips & ideas to help you get started.

Join me on Monday as we officially kick off Card Sketch Monday here at Mommy Stampin’ Creations. I’d love to see what you create!
