Hello, crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing two cheerful cards featuring the Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite Collection from the Stampin’ Up! May–August 2026 Catalog. I love how this collection celebrates those simple, everyday moments that make life special.

The Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite combines playful patterns, florals, butterflies, bold silhouettes, and fun little details that make layering so easy. The coordinating Designer Series Paper includes soft colorful designs on one side and crisp black-and-white patterns on the other—perfect for mixing and matching.

My Color Combination

For today's cards, I chose a soft and happy combination of Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, and Basic White, paired with the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper.

Pool Party gives the projects a fresh, calming background, while Flirty Flamingo adds just the right pop of cheerful color. Basic White keeps everything bright and lets those wonderful Designer Series Paper patterns take center stage.

And these colors coordinate beautifully with the collection—the official Designer Series Paper palette includes both Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo, along with several other fun colors.

Hello Sunshine

For my first card, I had so much fun playing with layers!

I mixed several patterns from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper to create lots of visual interest. The soft stripes and geometric patterns work so well together, and I love how the darker panel grounds all those softer colors.

The “Hello Sunshine” greeting makes this such a happy card to send to someone just because. The little butterfly and leafy accents add even more personality.

This is one of those cards where you can really have fun using up those smaller pieces of Designer Series Paper. Don't be afraid to mix patterns—stripes, geometrics, florals, and dots can look fabulous together!

Fun in the Sun

My second card has a completely different look while still using the same collection.

I started with that adorable Pool Party polka-dot Designer Series Paper and built my focal point with several layered patterns. The black-and-white designs provide wonderful contrast against the softer Pool Party background.

Then come the butterflies!

I love how the butterflies appear to flutter across the front of the card. The touches of Flirty Flamingo add just enough extra color to bring everything together.

The Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper contains 12 sheets—two each of six double-sided designs—and is designed for both card making and scrapbooking.

Beautiful Ordinary Life Cards

Today I’m sharing two cheerful cards created with products from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up!

This collection is all about celebrating everyday moments—the little memories, simple joys, and ordinary days that make life beautiful. Its playful patterns and creative accents make it perfect for card making, scrapbooking, and memory keeping.

Two Cards, One Beautiful Collection

For these cards, I started with Pool Party card bases and added layers of texture and patterned paper. The black, white, Pink Flamingo, Pool Party, and Lemon Lolly accents give both cards a cheerful, modern look.

Although the cards coordinate, each one has its own personality.

One design features a bold black floral accent, butterfly, banner details, and layered paper pieces. The second card uses a coral floral accent, small geometric shapes, a butterfly, and a colorful striped border.

I love how the textured backgrounds add interest while allowing the smaller details to stand out. The layered notebook-style pieces also give the cards a playful scrapbook-inspired feeling.

The Bordered in Beauty Stamp Set and coordinating products offer so many possibilities for cards and memory-keeping projects. You can mix the patterns, borders, labels, butterflies, flowers, and embellishments to create something completely your own.

My Favorite Card!!!!

 

One Fine Day with Beautiful Ordinary Life

Sometimes the simplest moments make the most beautiful memories—and this cheerful fun-fold card is a lovely reminder to enjoy “one fine day.”

For this project, I used the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper (167562) from Stampin’ Up! The combination of crisp black-and-white patterns with soft, cheerful colors immediately caught my eye. I especially love how the bold polka dots contrast with the Lemon Lolly card base.

A Card with a Fun Surprise

At first glance, the card’s layered front takes center stage. The black frame, soft yellow sentiment, tiny butterfly, and coordinating embellishments create a cheerful focal point.

But this card has a little surprise!

When the decorative band is removed, the fun-fold design opens to reveal more of the patterned paper. The different panels give you several opportunities to mix and match designs while still keeping the finished card balanced.

The side view really shows the structure of the fold. I love creating cards that are beautiful when displayed but can still fold for giving or mailing.

Why This Design Works

This project brings together several simple design ideas:

• The Lemon Lolly (161720)  card base keeps everything bright and cheerful.

• The Array of Dots (167559) accents add a calm touch.

• The butterfly adds movement and a little extra charm.
