Halloween Card and Sketch.....

Oh My Fright.....

Today I’m sharing a spooky-cute Halloween card created with Stampin’ Up! supplies. Oh My Fright Stamp Set and coordinating Oh My Fright Dies. This card features a moonlit Halloween scene with clouds, a bare tree, a friendly ghost, bats, and lots of fun dimension.

The combination of Basic Black, Basic Gray, Lemon Lolly, and Basic White creates a dramatic nighttime scene without making the card too scary. The Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper makes the perfect background, while the black-and-white ribbon adds a playful finishing touch.

I love using a card sketches to inspire my card making!!

How to Make the Card

  1. Cut the card base to 4 1/4" × 11" and score it at 5 1/2". Fold and burnish the score line.

  2. Cut a piece of Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper to 4" × 5 1/4". Adhere it to the front of the card base, leaving an even border around all four sides.

  3. Cut a tall Basic Gray focal panel approximately 3" × 4 1/2". Add subtle speckles or texture if desired, then adhere it vertically near the center of the card.

  4. Wrap the Black Iridescent Ribbon across the top of the card and tie it into a knot. Trim the ends as needed.

  5. Use the coordinating Oh My Fright Dies to cut the moon from Lemon Lolly Cardstock.

  6. Die-cut the clouds and ghost from Basic White Cardstock.

  7. Die-cut the bare tree and additional Halloween accents from Basic Black Cardstock.

  8. Arrange the moon and clouds near the upper-left portion of the focal panel. Layer the tree down the center of the panel, allowing the branches to extend behind the other elements.

  9. Place the ghost near the lower-right side of the focal panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals on selected pieces to create depth.

  10. Stamp the “Trick or Treat” greeting and add it across the bottom of the focal panel on a Basic Black sentiment strip.

  11. Finish the card with Adhesive-Backed Bats, Ghosts & Dots for a little extra Halloween fun.
